[H]ikari Production

Founded in 2012 to serve the universality of Dance, [H]ikari produces, tours, administers, and develops choreographic projects.

We firmly believe in the essential role of production offices within the cycle of cultural renewal.

Our collaborations begin with meaningful connections—mutual and artistic “love at first sight.”

Our choices are guided by artistic sensitivity and a desire to belong to a movement that recenters creation around its audience and a shared emotion. In recent years, the choreographic landscape has been shaped by the continuous growth in the number of artists and dance companies. This situation has created new needs, particularly regarding the structure of emerging teams in relation to the sector’s economic reality.

Furthermore, the widespread reduction in cultural funding has shifted the industry’s economy; developing companies can no longer afford to maintain in-house administrative staff. However, an artistic project cannot grow without its “production” branch. By pooling our production expertise, we allow teams to save on internal operating costs they could not sustain alone, enabling them to develop ambitious and diverse cultural projects.

We support the necessary and irreplaceable role of dance within our artistic and cultural practices, and more broadly, within contemporary society. It is the art of universal language—exportable and accessible to all people and audiences. We believe that the artistic projects we support are essential to the elevation of our society.
